"Snickar Glädje"
“Carpentry joy” is a Swedish term for an old decorative detail made from two wooden beams that are cut into patterns. You usually see it on the façades of traditional wooden houses, where it adds a bit of character and craft. I wanted to bring that idea indoors and use it in a new way—like in a room divider or as a kind of window screen for light and privacy. It’s basically a modern take on a traditional technique, keeping the same spirit but using it in a different context. The project was exhibited at Gunnebo Castle as part of the annual "Designsalongen" exhibition.
